Creative Director, Content & Performance

📍 Bay Area preferred | Open to LA, Seattle | Full-time

Pholio is hiring on behalf of a high-growth consumer startup looking for a Creative Director ( Content & Performance ) who’s hands-on, scrappy, and performance-minded. This role is ideal for someone who knows how to concept, shoot, and ship digital content that drives growth—especially short-form video for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube.

You’ll partner closely with the growth and marketing team to create high-performing ad creative and content that gets results. This isn’t about brand decks—it’s about producing the actual work, testing it in-market, and refining it quickly.

🔧 Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end production of video content: scripting, shooting, editing, and publishing
• Develop static creatives and visuals that support app features and acquisition campaigns
• Collaborate with growth marketing to test, optimize, and iterate on performance content
• Write and edit light copy across ads, landing pages, and email (tone + clarity > perfection)
• Support content development across digital channels—IG, Meta, YouTube, TikTok, email

✅ Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in creative or content production roles
• Proven track record of producing content for paid digital marketing campaigns
• Deep familiarity with performance platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube) and ad formats
• Strong creative instincts paired with a data-informed mindset
• Comfortable producing content independently, not just directing others
• Startup or small team experience preferred—this is a fast-moving environment

• Familiar with managing freelance talent or small-scale production ops
