This role will assist with trend research, color concept development, seasonal palette creation, file organization, and color design support to help bring innovative and market-relevant footwear collections to life. Responsibilities: 1. Trend Research & Concept Ideation Conduct in-depth research on color, material, and design trends. Collaborate with the internal color team to brainstorm and create forward-thinking color story concepts. Develop mood boards, color swatches, and visual presentations to communicate ideas effectively. 2. Seasonal Color Palette Development Co-develop seasonal color palettes aligned with brand identity and consumer preferences. Apply knowledge of color theory and trend forecasting to build cohesive and impactful palettes. Refine selections based on feedback and market insights. 3. Vector File Management Organize and streamline vectorized line art to support efficient color application. Ensure all design files follow consistent structure and naming conventions for ease of access. 4. Color Specification Sheet Creation Produce detailed color specification sheets using ALTRA's established formats. Accurately document Pantone references, material details, and color codes. Maintain an organized and updated database of all color specs and revisions. 5. Color Design Support Assist with applying color to product designs and solving color-related challenges. Collaborate cross-functionally with design and development teams to ensure aesthetic and technical alignment. Contribute creative input that balances brand vision and manufacturing feasibility. Collaborate with ALTRA's internal color team to brainstorm and develop innovative color story concepts that align with market trends, merchandizing needs and brand identity. Generate mood boards, color swatches, and visual presentations to communicate proposed concepts effectively. 2) Aid Internal Color Team with Seasonal Color Palette Creation and Refinement: Work closely with ALTRA's internal color team to develop seasonal color palettes that resonate with target consumers and reflect the brand's design direction. Utilize expertise in color theory, psychology, and market analysis to curate harmonious color combinations suitable for various footwear collections. Iterate on color selections based on feedback from stakeholders and market research to ensure coherence and relevance. 3) Aid Internal Color Team with Organization of Vectorized Line Art and Files: Evaluate and streamline existing vectorized line art and design files to optimize workflow efficiency and facilitate seamless color application if needed. Follow best practices in file organization and naming conventions to enhance accessibility and ease of use for the internal color team. 4) Aid Internal Color Team with Creation and Organization of Color Specification Sheets: Develop detailed color specification sheets according to ALTRA's established format, documenting precise color codes, Pantone references, and material specifications. Ensure accuracy and consistency across all color specification files. Maintain an up-to-date database of color specifications, revisions, and version control to facilitate efficient communication and production processes. 5) Aid Internal Color Team with Color Design Assistance: Offer support to the internal color team in generating color designs. Collaborate closely with designers, developers, to address specific color-related challenges and opportunities throughout the product development lifecycle. Provide creative input and problem-solving expertise to achieve desired aesthetic outcomes while considering technical constraints and production feasibility. Qualifications: Strong background in color design, trend research, or a related creative field. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and digital mood board creation. Excellent understanding of color theory, palette development, and trend forecasting. Highly organized with experience managing digital assets and specification documentation.
